Identify and work with local businesses that need employees with technology skills. We have these already, with some employers already experiencing significant ecommerce revenue growth.
Teach local people technology and digital skills. Tai Poutini Polytechnic and new digital programmes on offer have moved quickly to support this approach.
Support businesses and people to make the role and job happen. This would require funding either by local government, economic development agents or central government, or a combination of these.

Future of work: teams

People that enjoy publishing and commenting on social media, rely on the feedback and replies of others. Together, as a team, they create their own unique piece of work, online and often for all to see.
